AN ACT CONCERNING FUNDING FOR SCHOOLS OF CHOICE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) The Department of Education shall conduct a study relating to state funding for schools of choice in the state, including, but not limited to, interdistrict magnet schools and charter schools. Not later than May 26, 2018, the department shall submit a report of the results of such study to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.

To require the Department of Education to study issues relating to state funding for schools of choice in the state.
