RESOLUTION PROPOSING A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT CONCERNING TERM LIMITS.

Resolved by this Assembly:

That (1) section two of Article fourth of the Constitution of the state be amended to provide that no Governor shall serve more than two consecutive terms in such office, provided a person who has served two terms may hold such office again if at least two years have passed since his or her last term in office, and (2) section 10 of Article third of the Constitution of the state be amended to provide that no senator or representative shall serve more than five consecutive terms in such office, provided a person who has served five terms may hold such office again if at least two years have passed since his or her last term in office. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To enact term limits on certain state offices.
