AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC UTILITIES AND MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC ENERGY COOPERATIVES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapters 101 and 101a of the general statutes be amended to add requirements for municipal electric utilities and municipal electric energy cooperatives regarding:
(1) Annual financial reports and posting such reports on their web sites;
(2) Posting information regarding board of directors' meetings on their web sites and disseminating such information to municipalities;
(3) Holding board of directors' meetings in Connecticut;
(4) The planning of strategic retreats and posting board of directors' meeting minutes on their web sites;
(5) The conduct of strategic retreats; and
(6) Disseminating information from municipal electric energy cooperatives' board meetings to member utilities and municipalities and posting such information on their web sites.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase public awareness and provide transparency regarding municipal electric utilities and municipal electric energy cooperatives.
