AN ACT ELIMINATING LONGEVITY PAYMENTS AND OVERTIME COMPENSATION FROM THE CALCULATION OF RETIREMENT INCOME FOR STATE EMPLOYEES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate longevity payments and overtime compensation from the calculation of base salary for purposes of determining retirement income for state employees.
Statement of Purpose:
To achieve long-term savings by lowering state pension obligations.
