AN ACT CREATING A MECHANISM IN THE PROBATE COURT SYSTEM TO RESOLVE DISPUTES ARISING IN HOUSING AUTHORITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 801a of the general statutes be amended to provide that the Probate Court Administrator shall, within available appropriations, establish a mechanism within the Probate Court system to provide for the mediation of disputes arising between a housing authority and a tenant, and that such mechanism shall ensure that a tenant is permitted to address housing climate issues without fear of retaliation from the housing authority.
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Probate Court Administrator to establish a mechanism within the Probate Court system that provides for the mediation of disputes arising between a housing authority and a tenant.
