AN ACT CONCERNING MUNICIPAL APPROVAL OF CHANGES TO RAIL SERVICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that no grant, loan or other financial assistance from the state shall be made, appropriated or expended to change commuter rail services in the state unless the municipality impacted by such change holds a referendum to approve such change.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the expenditure of state funds to change commuter rail services unless the municipality impacted by such change holds a referendum to approve such change.
