AN ACT REQUIRING PERSONS WHO TEST POSITIVE FOR AN OPIOID ANTAGONIST TO ENTER A DRUG REHABILITATION PROGRAM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require any person who tests positive for an opioid antagonist or who a physician attests has used an opioid antagonists to enter a drug rehabilitation program.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow overdose reversal drugs to be a trigger for drug rehabilitation.
