AN ACT EXPANDING THE DEFINITION OF "VETERAN".
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 27 of the general statutes be amended to redefine "veteran" to include (1) any member of the National Guard, regardless of performance of duty under Title 32 of the United States Code, and (2) any reserve component of the United States Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or Air Force, regardless of performance of active service.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow armed forces reservists and members of the National Guard to receive state veterans' benefits.
