AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COST-SHARING REQUIREMENTS FOR PRESCRIPTION CONTRACEPTION.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That sections 38a-503e and 38a-530e of the general statutes be amended to require each health insurance policy providing coverage for outpatient prescription drugs to provide coverage for prescription contraceptive methods without enrollee cost-sharing requirements.

Statement of Purpose: 

To require insurance coverage of prescription contraceptive methods without enrollee cost-sharing requirements.
