AN ACT CONCERNING LOCAL ELECTED REPRESENTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that each city, town, borough, district or association with municipal powers shall be governed by a board, commission, legislative body, committee or similar body the members of which shall be elected by the individuals residing within such city, town, borough, district or association.
Statement of Purpose:
To require representation on the governing body of each city, town, borough, district or association with municipal powers that is elected by those residing within such city, town, borough, district or association.
