AN ACT CONCERNING THE ABILITY OF LOCAL BUILDING OFFICIALS TO ASSESS FINES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 29 of the general statutes be amended to permit local building officials, with the permission of the state building inspector, to fine individuals who commence construction without first obtaining a building permit.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit local building officials to assess fines for construction without a building permit.
