AN ACT CONCERNING THE EXPANSION OF THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 10-16b of the general statutes be amended to include the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program in the health curriculum for students in grades seven and nine, and to use funding from the federal 21st Century Cures Act to assist local and regional boards of education in providing such instruction.

Statement of Purpose: 

To use federal funding to expand the D.A.R.E. antidrug education program.
