AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIMING OF THE ADOPTION OF THE EDUCATION COST-SHARING GRANT BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that the education cost-sharing grant be adopted by the General Assembly not later than March thirty-first of each year and that such requirement may not be changed by the Governor and may only be changed upon the approval of three-quarters of the members of each house of the General Assembly.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow boards of education and municipal governments to budget more effectively.
