AN ACT CONCERNING INCREASED ACCESS TO CERTAIN CLUBS UNDER THE LIQUOR CONTROL ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. Section 30-24b of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2017):

Auxiliary members who are spouses of members or surviving spouses of former deceased members of any club which holds a permit under the provisions of this chapter, and children or grandchildren of any such member or former deceased member of such club, which children or grandchildren are members of an organization affiliated with such club, may be allowed to participate in all the privileges of such club, by vote of such club members and shall not be considered guests for purposes of the general statutes or regulations of the Department of Consumer Protection.

Statement of Purpose: 

To permit the children or grandchildren of members or former deceased members of a club, which children or grandchildren are members of an organization affiliated with such club, increased access to such club's privileges under the Liquor Control Act.
