AN ACT CONCERNING AN EVALUATION OF EQUITY ISSUES RELATED TO THE TOWN OF MIDDLEBURY'S MEMBERSHIP IN THE REGION 15 SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding the provisions of part III of chapter 164 of the general statutes, in the case of a regional school district composed of two or more towns, one of which has a greater population and a majority of the total votes on the regional board of education, no action shall be taken by the board unless a majority of the members of the board from each town votes to approve any proposal before the board.

Statement of Purpose:
To authorize the regional board of education for the Region 15 school district to use a weighted crossover vote to approve any proposal before the board.
