AN ACT CONCERNING THE RENTER'S REBATE PROGRAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-170f of the general statutes be amended to (1) eliminate the requirement that the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management withhold or reduce state financial assistance provided to a municipality in an amount equal to fifty per cent of any grant payments made to renters in such municipality under the renter's rebate program, or, in the alternative, (2) require the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management to withhold or reduce state financial assistance from each municipality in this state, including municipalities in which no renter received a grant payment under the renter's rebate program.
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the requirement that the Office of Policy and Management withhold or reduce state financial assistance provided to municipalities whose renters received grant payments under the renter's rebate program, or, in the alternative, require the Office of Policy and Management to withhold or reduce such state financial assistance from each municipality in this state.
