AN ACT CONCERNING MAJOR PARTY CONVENTIONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 153 of the general statutes be amended to no longer 1 
require major parties to hold conventions for the purpose of endorsing 2 
candidates for nomination to certain elective offices, but to still permit 3 
such parties to do so. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To allow major parties to not hold endorsing conventions and instead 
only conduct primaries to nominate candidates for certain elective 
offices.
