AN ACT CONCERNING THE ERECTION OF FENCES AND THE
PLANTING OF HEDGES AND TREES THAT OBSTRUCT WATER
VIEWS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 7-148 of the general statutes be amended to authorize 1
municipalities to adopt ordinances to prohibit the erection of fences 2
and the planting of hedges and trees on one parcel of property that 3
obstruct water views on another parcel of property. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To permit municipalities to regulate the erection of fences and planting
of hedges and trees that obstruct a neighbor's water views.
