AN ACT PROHIBITING THE ADMINISTRATION OF VACCINES CONTAINING THIMEROSAL TO CHILDREN UNDER THREE YEARS OF AGE AND PREGNANT WOMEN AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF REQUIREMENTS FOR IMMUNIZATIONS FOR NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASES IN A CHILD CARE OR SCHOOL SETTING. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to (1) prohibit any health care 1 provider from administering any vaccine containing more than a trace 2 amount of thimerosal to any child under three years of age or pregnant 3 woman, and (2) prohibit the establishment of any immunization 4 requirements for a child care or school setting for diseases that are 5 noncommunicable, including, but not limited to, hepatitis B and 6 human papillomavirus. 7 Statement of Purpose: To protect children and pregnant women from harmful ingredients contained in vaccines and to prohibit requirements related to the administration of certain vaccines.
