AN ACT REQUIRING TESTING FOR CERTAIN PHARMACEUTICALS 
IN RESPONSE TO DRUG -RELATED DEATHS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to require the Office of the 1 
Chief Medical Examiner to (1) test, for a period not less than five years, 2 
any person whose death was drug -related for the presence of 3 
medications used to treat opioid use disorder in such person's system, 4 
and (2) make the results of such testing available to the Department of 5 
Public Health.  6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To collect and track data concerning drug-related deaths in 
Connecticut.
