AN ACT CONCERNING JOINT CAMPAIGNING AND RAISING OF
FUNDS BY CANDIDATES FOR GOVERNOR AND LIEUTENANT
GOVERNOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to require (1) 1
candidates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor to seek such 2
candidates' party's nomination jointly as a ticket, and (2) that any such 3
candidates participating in the Citizens' Election Program 4
campaigning jointly and as a ticket receive qualifying contributions 5
through one candidate committee in order to qualify for a grant from 6
the Citizens' Election Fund. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To require candidates for Governor and Lieutenant Governor to jointly
seek their party's nomination and jointly raise funds to qualify for the
Citizens' Election Program.
