AN ACT ESTABLISHING A HOME CANNING PERMIT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to establish a home canning 1
permit that allows a person to produce canned goods in his or her 2
home for sale directly to the consumer, provided the kitchen used to 3
produce the canned goods shall be subject to inspection by the 4
Department of Public Health and the total sale amount of such goods 5
shall not exceed twenty-five thousand dollars annually. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow persons to produce home canned goods for sale.
