AN ACT ELIMINATING THE FEE FOR THE ISSUANCE OF COMMEMORATIVE NUMBER PLATES FOR VETERANS WHO WERE DEPLOYED TO A COMBAT ZONE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 14-20b of the general statutes be amended to eliminate 1 the fee charged by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles for the 2 issuance of commemorative number plates for any veteran or member 3 of the armed forces who was deployed to an area designated as a 4 combat zone by the President of the United States. 5 Statement of Purpose: To allow a veteran or member of the armed forces who was deployed to a combat zone to obtain commemorative number plates at no additional cost beyond the cost to register a motor vehicle.
