AN ACT PROHIBITING THE RELEASE OF HELIUM BALLOONS INTO
THE ATMOSPHERE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 26-25c of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
the intentional release of helium or any lighter-than-air balloons. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To address the environmental harm caused to Long Island Sound and
other waterways from the intentional release of helium balloons.
