AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF LOCALLY GROWN FOOD IN
SCHOOL FOOD PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to encourage 1
local and regional boards of education to procure locally grown foods 2
for their school food programs. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage school districts to use locally grown foods in their school
food programs.
