AN ACT CONCERNING THE NET ECONOMIC VALUE OF STATE
CONTRACTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require state contracting 1
agencies, as defined in section 4e-1 of the general statutes, to consider 2
the potential state revenue from awarding a state contract to a business 3
that will hire employees in this state, including the estimated effect on 4
the state economy, as one of the criteria used to evaluate the bids 5
received for state contracts. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To consider the potential state revenue from awarding contracts to
businesses hiring Connecticut employees as part of the state
contracting process.
