AN ACT CONCERNING LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES AND CONTRACTS THAT INSURE THE LIVES OF CONVICTED FELONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 700b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1 each life insurance company doing insurance business in this state 2 from refusing to deliver or issue for delivery a life insurance policy or 3 contract to a person in this state solely because such policy would 4 insure the life of an individual who has been convicted of a felony. 5 Statement of Purpose: To prohibit each life insurance company doing insurance business in this state from refusing to deliver or issue a life insurance policy or contract to a person in this state solely because such policy would insure the life of an individual who has been convicted of a felony.
