AN ACT CONCERNING JUROR SERVICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 51-217 of the general statutes be amended to add that a 1
sole proprietor of a business shall be disqualified from having to serve 2
as juror unless he or she chooses to perform juror service. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To exempt an individual who is the sole proprietor of a business from
compulsory juror service.
