AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENFORCEMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLE
REGISTRATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 14-12 of the general statutes be amended to exempt 1
residents who operate a motor vehicle that is registered in another 2
state and residents whose motor vehicle has been entered in the 3
taxable list of the town where such vehicle is subject to property tax 4
from the sixty-day period to register such vehicle in this state and to 5
permit police officers to stop the operator of a motor vehicle when 6
such vehicle is registered in another state but has been in the state for 7
over sixty days. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To enforce motor vehicle registration in the state.
