AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR EQUIPMENT TO ENABLE
THE ELDERLY AND PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TO PARTICIPATE
IN PUBLIC HEARINGS REMOTELY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the sum of ____ dollars be appropriated to the Office of 1
Legislative Management, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year 2
ending June 30, 2020, for the purchase and installation of the 3
equipment or other technology needed to enable the elderly and 4
persons with disabilities who live twenty miles or more from Hartford, 5
to participate in legislative public hearings via live video. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To provide funding for the equipment needed to enable the remote
participation of the elderly and persons with disabilities at legislative
public hearings.
