AN ACT DESIGNATING THIRTEENTH AMENDMENT DAY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10-29a of the general statutes be amended to designate 1
December sixth of each year as Thirteenth Amendment Day, an official 2
day of reflection, remembrance and celebration of the ratification of the 3
thirteenth amendment to the United States Constitution. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To spread awareness of the ratification of the thirteenth amendment to
the United States Constitution, which abolished slavery.
