AN ACT CONCERNING THE CONNECTICUT CLEAN SLATE LAW. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 54-142a of the general statutes be amended to (1) 1 
provide for the automatic sealing of a person's criminal record for any 2 
misdemeanor offense and certain felony offenses seven years after the 3 
date of a final judgment resulting in the person's conviction for such 4 
offense, and (2) make any criminal record sealed in accordance with 5 
subdivision (1) of this section accessible only by law enforcement 6 
agencies.  7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To provide for the automatic sealing of a person's criminal record for 
certain offenses after seven years.
