AN ACT ELIMINATING JUDICIAL DISCRETION IN EXTENDING A
STAY OF EXECUTION OF JUDGMENT IN A SUMMARY PROCESS
MATTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 47a-39 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate 1
the ability of the court to extend a stay of execution of judgment in a 2
summary process matter. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the ability of the court to extend a stay of execution of
judgment involving an eviction in a summary process matter.
