AN ACT CONCERNING REVISIONS TO THE EXCESS COST
THRESHOLD FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 10-76g of the general statutes be 1
amended to revise the reimbursement threshold for special education 2
costs for school districts with a student population of fewer than one 3
thousand from four and one-half times the average per pupil cost to 4
three times the net current expenditures per pupil for the prior fiscal 5
year. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To modify the excess cost threshold for special education costs in order
to reduce the financial hardship on small school districts with low
student enrollment.
