AN ACT CONCERNING TOWN COMMITTEE TREASURERS AND
CAMPAIGN FINANCE FILINGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 155 of the general statutes be amended to provide that, 1
in the case of an individual who contributes more than fifty and up to 2
two thousand dollars in the aggregate to a town committee in a 3
calendar year, the treasurer of such town committee may file one 4
contribution certification form for such individual, provided such 5
treasurer provides information in an annual filing for each permissible 6
subsequent contribution, an aggregate amount thereof and the date 7
corresponding to any such contribution. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To permit town committee treasurers to file one contribution
certification form for each contributor to such town committee,
provided the amounts and dates of subsequent contributions by such
contributor are aggregated and included in an annual filing.
