AN ACT CONCERNING MATHEMATICS CLASSES AT PUBLIC 
INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to eliminate the requirement 1 
to take advanced mathematics classes for students with academic 2 
majors unrelated to industries that utilize mathematics.   3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To eliminate the requirement to take mathematics classes if a student's 
major is unrelated to an industry which uses mathematics.
