AN ACT REQUIRING APPROVAL OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
CERTAIN ACTIONS OF THE BOARD OF REGENTS FOR HIGHER
EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 10a-6 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
approval of the General Assembly for any action of the Board of 2
Regents for Higher Education that (1) merges any institutions in the 3
regional community-technical college system, and (2) requires the 4
approval of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require that certain actions of the Board of Regents for Higher
Education be approved by the General Assembly.
