AN ACT CONCERNING THE DURATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE 
OPERATOR'S LICENSE AND MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That (1) sections 14-41 and 14-41a of the general statutes be 1 
amended to authorize the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue a 2 
motor vehicle operator's license for a period of eight years, rather than 3 
six years, and (2) title 14 of the general statutes be amended to increase 4 
the duration of motor vehicle registration from two years to three 5 
years. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To permit the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue a motor vehicle 
operator's license for a period of eight years and to increase the 
duration of motor vehicle registration to three years.
