AN ACT NAMING A BRIDGE IN PLANTSVILLE IN HONOR OF UNITED
STATES ARMY SPC4 WILLIAM A. BEARD.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That bridge number 01237 on Prospect Street, crossing over 1
Interstate 84, in the town of Plantsville be named in honor of United 2
States Army SPC4 William A. Beard. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To name a bridge in Plantsville in honor of United States Army SPC4
William A. Beard to recognize his act of bravery, heroism and selfless
dedication to his country during a raging battle for Hill 994 in Vietnam
in which he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
