AN ACT CONCERNING LIABILITY COVERAGE FOR ARMED
SECURITY OFFICERS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 170 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
all contracts between a local or regional board of education and a 2
person who will provide security services in a public school while in 3
possession a firearm, in accordance with the provisions of section 10-4
244a of the general statutes, shall include a clear and conspicuous 5
description of the terms of liability coverage for such person. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To clarify the extent and limitations of liability coverage for armed
school security officers.
