AN ACT CONCERNING PROTECTION FOR CERTAIN BUSINESS
DATA HOLDERS IN THE EVENT OF A DATA BREACH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to offer protection to business 1
data holders in the event of a data breach where such business data 2
holder demonstrates it had a cyber security program in place at the 3
time of the breach that meets industry recognized security 4
frameworks. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To offer protection to certain business data holders in the event of a
data breach.
