AN ACT PROHIBITING CERTAIN CONTRACTS FOR THE PURCHASE
OF A CAT OR DOG.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit contracts for the 1
purchase of a cat or dog that provide that such animal shall constitute 2
security for any payment owed under said contract. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit contracts that designate a cat or dog as security for
payment under such contract.
