AN ACT CONCERNING CANDIDATES FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that the 1 candidate who has received a party's nomination for Governor shall 2 alone select such party's nominee for Lieutenant Governor. 3 Statement of Purpose: To permit nominees for Governor to choose their Lieutenant Governor running mate independent of a convention or primary process.
