AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TASK FORCE TO REVIEW REMOVAL
FROM PARTY ENROLLMENT LISTS AND DENIAL OF PRIVILEGES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That a task force be established to review the procedures under 1
which, at the discretion of members of a certain political party, (1) an 2
enrolled member of such party may be disaffiliated from such party, 3
and (2) an unaffiliated registered voter or an enrolled member of 4
another party may be prevented from enrolling in such first party. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To review the laws under which local political party officials may
discretionarily erase or exclude a person from a party enrollment list.
