AN ACT CONCERNING CERTAIN CANDIDATES PARTICIPATING IN 
THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1 
the total of the amount of any grant under the Citizens' Election 2 
Program to a candidate for state senator or state representative and the 3 
amount of qualifying contributions to be received by such candidate in 4 
order to be eligible for such grant shall not exceed (1) sixty thousand 5 
dollars for the office of state senator, and (2) fifteen thousand dollars 6 
for the office of state representative. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To decrease the amount of grants under the Citizens' Election 
Program.
