AN ACT CONCERNING TRAINING FOR DEPARTMENT OF
CORRECTION STAFF.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 18 of the general statutes be amended to allow for 1
additional training for correction officers on mental health issues and 2
provide for additional training for persons who work with inmates to 3
better identify signs of substance abuse disorders in inmates entering 4
correctional institutions. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To allow for additional training for correction officers in mental health
issues and substance abuse disorder identification.
