AN ACT REQUIRING HOSPITALS TO IMMEDIATELY REPORT A DRUG OVERDOSE OR POTENTIAL DRUG OVERDOSE DEATH TO LAW ENFORCEMENT. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require a hospital to 1 immediately report a drug overdose or potential drug overdose death 2 to its local law enforcement agency. 3 Statement of Purpose: To allow law enforcement officials the ability to quickly investigate and determine if there is a bad batch of illegal drugs on the streets.
