AN ACT REQUIRING GROUP HOUSING FACILITIES FOR PERSONS
WITH DISABILITIES TO HAVE AN EMERGENCY POWER
GENERATOR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That titles 17a and 19a of the general statutes be amended to require 1
group housing facilities for persons with disabilities to have a 2
functioning emergency power generator. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require group residential facilities that house people with
disabilities to keep a functioning power generator on the premises in
order to guarantee a backup power source in the event the power goes
out.
