AN ACT CONCERNING THE EXPANSION OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING COURSES FOR CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION, THE USE OF AUTOMATIC EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATORS AND THE ADMINISTRATION OF FIRST AID. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to permit the 1 Department of Public Health to expand accredited and recognized 2 education and training courses for cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the 3 use of automatic external defibrillators and the administration of first 4 aid offered in the state for purposes of expanding water safety training 5 opportunities for lifeguards and nonlifeguard staff. 6 Statement of Purpose: To improve water safety in the state.
