AN ACT INCREASING FUNDING FOR AGING IN PLACE INITIATIVES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2019) The sum of ____ dollars is 1
appropriated to the Department of Social Services and the sum of ____ 2
is appropriated to the Department of Rehabilitation Services, from the 3
General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2020, for the 4
expansion of programs allowing senior citizens to live independently 5
longer in their homes and communities. 6
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
Section 1 July 1, 2019 New section
Statement of Purpose:
To reap state cost savings on institutional care in the long run by
investing more state dollars now in initiatives allowing senior citizens
to live independently longer in the community. Raised Bill No. 6170
